Caritas-Spes Kharkiv starts a new medical project for IDPs from Donbas

Religious mission Caritas-Spes Kharkiv of Roman Catholic Diocese of Kharkiv-Zaporizhzhia is starting a humanitarian medical project as part of Pope for Ukraine Initiative.

Under this project, starting from September 01 and till January 31, 2018, IDPs from Donbas who are living in the city of Kharkiv and Kharkiv Region and require medical treatment or financial support may receive up to 800 UAH worth of free medications if they produce a copy of their passport, tax number, IDP certificate and doctor’s prescription.

Welcome for registration are such socially disadvantaged groups as people with disabilities, retired persons, orphans, large families, single mothers, people suffering from diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and people with low income in need of medial aid.

Two physicians work within the project: general practitioner/cardiologist and pediatrician/neonatologist. Once a week the project’s social workers will go to Kharkiv Region and receive IDPs in Chuhuyiv, Lozova, Kupiansk and Izium.
