On July 27 the first group of 86 children from the “grey zone” (Luhansk Region – Popasna, Novoaidar, Novotoshkivske, Shchastia, Stanytsia Luhanska) will go on vacation to Croatian city of Savudrija in northern Istria.
During their stay there, the children will have a chance to have an interesting and exciting time on Adriatic coast, visit Croatian landmarks and get acquainted with local culture and customs as well as demonstrate their talents performing Ukrainian songs and dances.
The project is implemented by Caritas–Ukraine and Ministry for Temporary Occupied Territories with the support of Pope for Ukraine Initiative and is aimed at providing comprehensive psychological support and summer rest for children suffering from military actions in the East of Ukraine. Over the summer over 300 children from buffer zone are expected to have a rest as part of this joint project.
The group is departing on Thursday, July 27 at 10.00 AM from Kyiv Bus Station at 32 Petliury St. (near railway station)
